The project is handled by Riedel's Chinese partner Rightway Audio Consultants Ltd and combines Riedel Performer digital partyline equipment and Riedel Acrobat wireless intercom technology. "In the past the integration of wireless intercom and partyline application would have resulted in a very complex setup. With Acrobat and Performer, it's amazing how easy to operate and flexible to use the system is," said Mr. Hui Chen, General Engineer of Technical Department at the Fujian Broadcasting and Television Center.
Heart of the installation is a Riedel C44 system interface. The C44 integrates digital partyline systems into matrix intercom installations. In addition, it can also serve as a stand-alone matrix for small applications. The C44's internal 24x24 matrix can be easily assigned via the Performer Audio Assignment Software. Six Performer CD-2 desktop speaker/headset stations provide digital audio quality for crystal clear communications at the Fujian Broadcasting and Television Center. Riedel C3 Riedel Digital Beltpacks and ten Riedel Air headsets complete the intercom system. The C3 is a fully digital 2-channel beltpack combining all advantages of the digital domain such as high quality digital audio with well known features from conventional analog partyline systems including daisy-chaining.
A Riedel Acrobat Digital Wireless Intercom installation provides further flexibility to the partyline setup. Eight wireless Acrobat WB-2 beltpacks, eight ultra light AIR headsets and a Acrobat CC-8 base station will be used at the Fujian Broadcasting and Television Center. Instead of only focussing on point-to-point communications, the Acrobat Digital Wireless Intercom also provides the benefits of partyline intercom in the wireless world. The Acrobat installation combines the mobility of radio transceivers with full duplex communication.
Furthermore the Fujian Broadcasting and Television Center utilized a Riedel RiFace to integrate the existing professional mobile radio installation into the intercom infrastructure.
